Cherie was much loved and brightened our services with her happy personality and wonderful music. She'll be missed. JEWPARDY 10 in Saginaw, March 14. This will be the 10th anniversary edition of this popular game organized and hosted by Dr. Dave. There will be a potluck at 6:30 PM. Please bring a dish to share; wine and pop will be provided. The game starts at 7:30 PM. Hope to see you at this fun event! At the Temple Beth Israel Saginaw location; 3545 Bay Road. COMMUNITY SEDER APRIL 4 AT THE SAGINAW COUNTRY CLUB, 6:00 P.M. Continuing a community tradition, members of Temple Beth Israel and Temple Beth El are invited to join in a community Seder at the Saginaw Country Club. Along with a concise program led by Andy Rogers, we will enjoy traditional Passover food and wonderful community spirit. The menu includes traditional Seder plates, matzo ball soup,gefilte fish, a buffet consisting of roasted chicken and baked whitefish, oven roasted redskin potatoes, roasted vegetable medley, and cheese kugel. Appetizers and dessert will also be served, as well as kosher wine with dinner. Although the Saginaw Country Club charges $46 per dinner and $11 per child, thanks to a grant from the Ravitz Foundation, the subsidized cost to Temple members will be only $20 per adult, and $10 for each child age 5-12. Children 4 and under are no charge. Non members and guests will be charged the full $46/$11 per person. Reservations must be made by March 30. This year we will NOT be taking money or accommodating additional guests at the door, so please send your check payable to Temple Beth Israel to Temple Beth Israel at 2300 Center Avenue, Bay City, MI 48708-6309. Your check must be received by March 30 to confirm your reservation. Sorry, refunds cannot be issued once the final count is submitted to the Club. When you arrive, your names will simply be checked on the list. We hope to see you there! FEINSTEIN CHALLENGE FOR EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY NETWORK For the 18th straight year, the $1 million dollar Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation grant will be divided among hunger fighting agencies. The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network will be participating. During the months of March and April, all cash, checks and food items donated to the MCEFPN will be counted as part of this great Challenge. ÊFood items will be valued at $1.00 per item.Ê Donations towards this challenge will make you, the donor , a partner in the most successful grassroots campaign to fight hunger of all times. You may drop non-perishable food and personal care items at the Temple at services through April 18, or if you prefer, mail a check to the MCEFPN at P.O. Box 2521, Midland, MI 48641.
